Construction work on the way to a new observatory in Kočevska Reka is now completed

Within the LIFE Kočevsko project, three nature observatories in the immediate surroundings of lake Reško will be set up. They will be available to visitors from spring 2018 onwards. One of the observatories will be placed on the didactic path, the other on the peninsula on the left bank of lake Reško, and the third will stand above the abandoned quarry in Kočevska Reka. From there visitors can enjoy a beautiful view of the upper part of the lake with a fish reserve, and where a pair of eagles can be watched from time to time.

In November, work on the road, which lead to the observatory above the quarry, was completed. At the starting point we arranged a small parking lot. We also removed the illegal landfill of the pruning waste, which was established over time.
