Participation at the 3rd International Consultation SOS Proteus: Protecting proteus anguinus and its habitat – 250 years after the scientific description

On 14.4.2018 we participated at the 3rd International Consultation SOS Proteus titled Protecting proteus anguinus and its habitat – 250 years after the scientific description. Lectures were divided into several sections: management of the proteus habitat, findings of recent research, education and protection of the karst. In the framework of the latter, Dr. Boris Kolar presented the results of the study  Assessment of the risk posed by nitrates for groundwater ecosystems and proteus anguinus in the project area of LIFE Kočevsko, which was financed by the LIFE Kočevsko project.
