Woodpecker drumming – spring is coming

All around us, nature is waking up. Spring is coming. The White-backed Woodpeckers are already drumming thus establishing their territories and attract mates. In order to study their distribution, we used a playback technique. Male, which was provoked in the forest management unit Ravne, clearly signalled us that his territory is already taken.
