Activity on the white-tailed eagle nest

In February and the first days of March, heavy snow  forced the animal world to save energy in cold days and therefore stay less active. The same applies for the white-tailed eagle pair, who spend most of their days in the shelter of trees along Lake Reško. The comprehensive surveillance and monitoring system did not show activity on the nest. The main reason for the inactivity is in great amount of snow on the nest. The monitoring and surveillance stystem on and under the nest is an important contribution of the C4 project action, which purpose is to improve the state of white-tailed eagle habitat and population.
