Current project activities presented to district foresters and hunters

Both foresters and hunters play an important role in forming state of forests and directing forest development in the future. It is crucial to constantly upgrade our knowledge and share experience.

LIFE Kočevsko project team presented current activities to district hunters and foresters working at the national hunting grounds (LPN Medved, Snežnik – Kočevska Reka and Žitna gora). Presentation was held in Mozelj.

Main emphasis of the presentation was on concrete conservation actions for the white-tailed eagle had been and will be implemented in 2017, establishment of hunting facilities database and conservation regimes in the Natura 2000 Kočevsko areas. District hunters received special maps with conservation regime layer, which will help them when planning their work in the field.
